The BILETA annual dinner takes place on the evening of Tuesday 16th April 2019. All conference delegates can attend the dinner as part of their participation in the event.
The dinner (three courses, plus wine) takes place in the Great Hall, Queen’s University Belfast. Speakers at the dinner include Dr. Subhajit Basu (chair of BILETA) and Prof. Paul Moore (director of Future Screens NI).
Following the meal, delegates will be treated to a performance by our special guests, BASORK. BASORK (http://www.balkanaliensound.com) is a ten piece fusion group whose compositions are influenced by Irish, European and Middle Eastern sounds. Brass, Strings and Woodwind combine with hints of jazz, funk and various traditional musics with big melodies and lots of improvisation.
